Media scholars agree that much of what the public
knows about news, politics and even religion is
obtained through mediated sources. Today the
Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) is officially
separated from the State but is increasingly involving
in social, cultural and political life of Russian society
not only directly, but also by using media. The paper
focuses on media coverage of the Russian Orthodox
Church (ROC) in news programs of state-owned
media “Perviikanal” and “Rossia” (2014-2015) and
examines the interaction of the Russian Orthodox
Church and the State through media.

Les spécialistes des médias conviennent que
beaucoup de ce que le public sait à propos de
nouvelles, la politique et même la religion est obtenue
grâce à des sources médiation. Aujourd'hui, l'Eglise
orthodoxe russe (ROC) est officiellement séparée de
l'Etat, mais est de plus en plus impliquer dans la vie
sociale, culturelle et politique de la société russe non
seulement directement, mais aussi par l'utilisation des
médias. Le document met l'accent sur la couverture
médiatique de l'Église orthodoxe russe (ROC) dans
les programmes d'information des médias d'Etat
“Perviikanal” et “Rossia” (2014-2015) et examine
l'interaction de l'Eglise orthodoxe russe et l'Etat à
travers les médias.
